Hey did you ever look at a printed word, a common word, then do a double take because it suddenly looks odd to you?
I was just going through my list of wordpress followers – who I don’t pay enough attention to – and following anyone I wasn’t already following – got that?
So with all the FOLLOW, FOLLOW, FOLLOW, FOLLOWs running down the column the word suddenly looked odd to me. Odd as in I say this word all of the time and in my head it just doesn’t look like this:
fol·low ˈfälō/ verb
1.go or come after (a person or thing proceeding ahead); move or travel behind. “she went back into the house, and Ben followed her”
synonyms: come behind, come after, go behind, go after, walk behind
2. come after in time or order.
FOLLOW is just funny to me this morning I guess….so I wish everyone a fantastic day whether you’re following the yellow brick road, the Pied Piper, your dream, the instructions, the car ahead of you, a strict diet, the North Star, a news story, my blog, or the road not taken— have a good one!!
And if you feel like it, leave a comment to tell me what you’re following today….
