Today’s Goddess Guidance Card is: IXCHEL

Rough start today – got up to get the girl to soccer camp and 3/4 of the way there she informs me that she’s still feeling sick as in sick from the heat – headache, nausea, throwing up in my car.  I thought she was better since she had a really good workout yesterday at Q Athletics, where she goes for speed and agility training.

So we get to Evergreen and we get out of the car and I tell her to sip on her Gatorade and just sit for a bit and I’d wait with her and tell the coach that she’s feeling under the weather and needs to take it slow if she practices at all today.  Well at just about starting time she informed me that she felt worse, not better, and so home we came with the obligatory throwing up in my car.  Note to self:  replenish the supply of barf bags in the car…..

So, to quote my Grandmom Jackson, “It’s hot as bloody blue blazes” outside today – the temp was right around 80 when we were in the car, not too bad but the humidity is 99.9% it seems like and I’m sure the temp is on the rise.

Back at home I am and before diving into my work for the day I thought I’d post A Goddess Guidance Card for today and I drew IXCHEL, from Doreen Virtue’s Goddess Guidance Oracle Card deck.

Ixchel (EE-shell or Ish-Chell) is the Mayan moon goddess, and as such intimately connected to the tides of the water and rainfall and all other aspects of water.  Her essence is infused in the water droplet prisms that create rainbows.  She is also a powerful healer and so in drawing this card Ixchel is telling us that “You are a channel for Divine healing power.”
