Daily Prompt: Undo

If you could un-invent something, what would it be? Discuss why, potential repercussions, or a possible alternative.

Brainstorming, I thought about fax machines (which I always thought were mortally stupid and with a very short half-life could have easily been skipped) and panty hose (useless, really useless – thigh highs were the answer to garter belts, not panty hose) BUT

upon further reflection I’m going to have to say that if I had the POWER to un-invent something I would un-invent WORK…..yes, that’s what I said, I said work….

so in place of work everyone would just do what made them happy – for some people that’s growing things, hunting and foraging, for some it’s weaving, for others it might be cooking that makes them happy, get where I’m going with this – we’d all be living in inter-dependent communities and everyone would just do what they like to do for the common good and never consider it to be WORK…..I mean think about how the invention of work led to the stupidity of commutes of an hour or more to get to a WORK-PLACE …..

WORKPLACE n. (def) place that could take up to an hour or more to commute to (think planes, trains, automobiles) and once you arrive you immediately start calculating how long you have to stay before you can pack up and go home and calculate how long it will take with afternoon traffic or metro outages…..

Work just sucks!!

Anyone with me on the Abolishment of Work?
