Daily Prompt: All about the C-Sweet

Explain why you chose your blog’s title and what it means to you.

First, publicly and privately held for-profit corporations confer corporate titles or business titles on company officials as a means of identifying their function in the organization. The highest-level executives are usually called “C-level” or part of the “C-suite,” referring to the 3-letter initials starting with “C” and ending with “O” (for “Chief __________ Officer”); the traditional officers are Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Operations Officer (COO), and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). How does this relate to me?  Well, first of all one of the various nicknames I’ve been called through the years is “C” or “Cee” – that’s it, plain old “C” because my name starts with the letter C and another nickname is “CJ” whatever works for you, some people call me C.

Further, to some I am “Sweet” – you can take that literally or you may prefer to assume I mean it tongue in cheek – again, whatever works for you.   Now with an MBA in Finance, and experience in the corporate world, I might have had my sights set on one day being part of the C-suite; and for a time I was but one day a student of mine referred to me as “C-Sweet” and I realized it was the perfect nom de plume for me and my blog as I (sweetly) write about my experiences in the business world for one, and in the world at large.

I hope this makes a bit of sense to you and you now understand how I came to call myselt “The C-Sweet”
