First Day of Mom’s “Summer” Vacation

As someone who LOVED school, it warms my heart that my little crew was dressed and ready to roll nearly 30 minutes before it was time to head out.  True story! I’m also proud to say that not only did I not nag them about what they were wearing I didn’t really notice what they had on until I really checked out the picture I took before they left.  How’s that for progress and evolution?

So I’ mm here at home with the dogs (The 3 Boxketeers) and my list of things to do:  More de-cluttering, job searching, and trying to stay at least one step ahead of the game.

This feels entirely different from when I first stopped working back in the early Spring.  After spending the summer at home with the kids, trying to entertain them, referee them, giving up at times, feed them healthy food, stretch their little minds, get their help around the house, etc.  I really feel that now I do have time to get “my” stuff done.  Were they truly interfering with any of that while they were home all summer – not in the least.  Did I procrastinate and do much less than I could have done because they were home – you bet.  And I also know it’s partly due to my wonderful ADDiva-ness so I’m not going to spend the time to beat myself up about it.  Instead, I’m thinking back over the things I accomplished and the special things we all did together and smiling as I check over my Flylady morning routine to see where I left off…..it’s gonna be a GREAT day!
